An audience of 300 women helped raise £155,000 for UJIA’s Ladies’ Night on Monday. Hosted by Café de Paris, the West End club famous for its cabaret and burlesque nights, guests were treated to acts including Escala violin quartet; Paul Zerdin, winner of Americas Got Talent 2015; X Factor girl group Mon Amie; opera singer Simmone Angel and Jersey Boys tribute act, The Other Guys. Co-chair Louise Jacobs said: “We’re overwhelmed with the support for this event and the atmosphere was truly special. We’ve had a Women’s Lunch for many years but the time for change has come. The increase in how much we raised is a massive boost and shows how much our women care about the future of this community.”
